In the last few weeks, every fiber within me screams ‘People Get Ready’. There is an eminent war with Syria in the works, ongoing threats of chemical warfare, a president and senate bidding for their own agenda, and a country that is willfully abolishing Godly morals in every sector of life.

I can’t help but think of the words to Curtis Mayfield’s sixties song, “People Get Ready…there’s train a coming…you just get onboard. People of America the train is coming and “there’s no hiding place against the Kingdom’s throne”.

People it is time to set our focus on things eternal. Shocking as it may seem, life on earth isn’t all about your personal agenda. It’s about preparing for life beyond the grave to catch the train destined to the Kingdom of God. The engines are starting to hum and the departure date is nearing. The only ticket needed is a heart stamped ‘bought and paid for by Jesus’.

All you need is faith to hear the diesels humming
Don’t need no ticket, you just thank the Lord.”
