We all have them about anything you can imagine and we have little fear in expressing them openly on social media, to friends/family and other electronic generated venues. A great number of opinions are voiced in angry, sometimes fully informed of the situation, but in most cases not. Either one, it doesn’t stop us from wagging our tongue with an opinion.
When something is posted or shared on a newscast, it’s easy to jump on board to give our opinion as we sit in front of a computer screen, cell phone or IPad. That distance makes us believe there are no consequences, repercussions or retaliation from the opinions we share.
Often as Christians we are quick to judge, lash out and sound off, especially about all things political, and in the process forget there is a higher power with a greater purpose than what we see with earthly eyes. I offer this in the midst of current world events:
Oh, be careful little tongue what you say.
For God, the Great I AM, He still reigns.
So when emotions are running high,
Take a moment to realize
All heaven and earth is under God’s control.
Oh, be careful little tongue what you say.
For God, the Great I AM, He still reigns.
You may not see the plan
That God’s ordained for man
but the final outcome brings us victory.
Oh, be careful little tongue what you say.
For God, the Great I AM, He still reigns.
A heavenly army He disbands
Appoints leaders to His command;
So, be careful little tongue what you say.
Oh, be careful little tongue what you say,
For God, the Great I AM, He still reigns.
Be contented and rejoice,
That opinions are still a choice
No doubt that blessed freedom will soon fade.
Oh, be careful little tongue what you say,
For God, the Great I AM, He still reigns.
Cease with all the hate
Be full of mercy, full of grace
As the prophesies of God they unfold.
Oh, be careful little tongue what you say,
For God, the Great I AM, He still reigns.
When words escape our tongue
Just know that they are judged.
So, be careful little tongue what you say.
